Bike the C+O Canal Trail from Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh!

The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath (C+O Canal and GAP Trail) is a paved pathway that runs from DC to Pittsburgh and right through our backyard -- Cumberland, MD. River Mountain offers lodging and shuttle service from downtown Cumberland, MD to C&O bikers.

If you're more interested in a day cruise along this scenic and historic path, trail access and bike rentals are located in downtown Cumberland, MD. Park near the local bike shop, Cumberland Trail Connection, located right next to the trail, and stop in for trail updates, route questions, rentals, and gear.
