Unmasked: A Retreat to Embrace
Your Neurodiverse Superpowers

Four days to set down the mask and simply be.

For the multi-passionate woman doing all the “right things” but feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, and misunderstood: you may appear to have it all together, but inside, you’re drained from masking parts of yourself, struggling with inconsistency, and weighed down by imposter syndrome. If it feels like the bar keeps moving higher, leaving you scrambling to keep up, this retreat offers a chance to pause, let go, and rediscover the joy of simply being yourself.

Designed for neurodivergent women, The Unmasked Retreat offers four days to explore what it's like to unmask and cultivate self-acceptance -this is your chance to exhale.

Set against the tranquil beauty of River Mountain, surrounded by trees, fresh air, and the healing embrace of nature, this retreat offers a sanctuary for self-discovery and connection and an opportunity to reconnect and find appreciation for all the different aspects of yourself.

Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to unmask, release the need to perform, and embrace the unique superpowers that come with neurodivergence. Through powerful practices like yoga, breathwork, somatic healing, and workshops, you’ll learn to regulate your nervous system, navigate emotions, and let go of the shame and “not-enoughness” that’s held you back.

Engage in nurturing experiences like a cacao & yoga nidra ceremony, storytelling circles, ecstatic dance, crafting, and authentic connection with like-minded women. Leave the retreat with a deeper sense of self, practical tools to live more freely, and the support of a sisterhood that sees and celebrates the real you.

The forest is for rest. Come let yourself be held—by the mountains, the trees, and the women who understand your journey.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
