Rooted, Radiant, & Rising:
A Summer Solstice Celebration

Rooted, Radiant, & Rising: A Summer Solstice Celebration

Dance with the sacred duality of summer ~ when the earth is warmed by the golden sun by day, we’re held by the sweet moon by night, and everything is alive with possibility. Together, we gather in celebration and ceremony to honor the beautiful balance of doing and being, of yin and yang, of light and dark ~ the Summer Solstice ✨🌞

Rooted, Radiant, & Rising is back for a soul-nourishing weekend of astrological insight, medicinal movement, yoga, sound, ceremony, celebration, and so much magic! This embodied and immersive experience will support and awaken your unique radiance so that we can all shine and rise together.

Tucked away at a luxury mountain resort in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains, you’ll be rooted in nature, guided by cosmic wisdom, and held in circle throughout the retreat. Along with our supportive and intentional guided offerings, expect space to relax, enjoy, and integrate. You’ll have the freedom to explore the many hiking trails, rest in the cedar soaking tubs or hammocks, jump in the swimming pond, or gather by the fire under the stars.

Join us as we tap into the playfulness and depth of summer that lives within each of us.

With Special Guest, Keatan Donahue
The Wild Rooted Yogi

Keatan is a movement guide, and modern-day wild woman devoted to living life as sacred ritual.

Rooted in the belief that the earth is medicine, she finds her inspiration barefoot in the dirt, under open skies, and in the rhythm of drums and breath. She is deeply connected to cacao ceremony, ecstatic dance, primal movement, and the power of gathering in intentional community. For Keatan, everything is sacred — the sweat, the stillness, the shadow, the joy.

Her work blends functional movement patterns with intuitive flow, honoring both structure and wildness. She teaches strength and softness, discipline and freedom, grounding and expansion ,embracing the duality that makes us whole. Her spaces invite you to remember your body’s wisdom, trust your instincts, and move in a way that feels true rather than performative.

Above all, Keatan is devoted to embodiment, to feeling fully alive, fully expressed, and deeply free. Whether guiding a powerful sequence, holding space in ceremony, or dancing beneath the moon, her intention is always the same: to help others reconnect to their raw, untamed, sacred selves.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
