Roots in The River Reiki Master Retreat
Welcome to Roots in the River Reiki Master Training Retreat, where you are invited you to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the beauty and magic of nature. This retreat is for anyone who is already certified to Reiki Level 1 and 2 and offers a unique blend of ancient practices and modern techniques that will help you connect with your inner wisdom, deepen your spiritual practice, and forge lasting connections with like-minded individuals.
Jamie and Jonathan are honored to be your retreat guides on this journey of self discovery. They have curated a weekend of education and relaxation unlike any other.
We will begin our weekend with on Opening Cacao Ceremony to set our intentions and open our hearts and will conclude with a Fire Ceremony, where we will reflect on our journey, share our insights, and set intentions for the future.
Reiki Master Level Training will be divided into 2 parts on Friday and Saturday mornings. Reiki 3, also known as Reiki Master Level, is the highest level of training in the practice of Usui Reiki. This training will be an overview of Reiki Level 1 and 2, but will also introduce advanced techniques and symbols to give the practitioner the ability to teach and initiate others in the practice of Reiki.
Throughout your stay, you will have the opportunity to practice yoga with us during the day, relax under the stars for a healing Shamanic Journey, and have plenty of time to unwind, reflect, hike, hang in the hammocks, or soak in the hot springs soaking tubs. Whatever your heart and soul desires.
This experience will be a powerful way to deepen your spiritual practice and gain new insights into your life's purpose.
By the end of our retreat, you will feel renewed, inspired, and empowered to continue your journey of self-discovery and healing.

Jonathan “Quest” Brown
Jonathan “Quest” Brown is a sacred facilitator and integration coach who found solace in yoga and psychedelics following the loss of his mother in 2018. His journey of healing led him to become a certified yoga teacher and reiki master, among other qualifications. As a facilitator, Quest integrates the modalities he has honed with sacred earth medicines like cacao, offering a holistic approach to personal growth and healing. His role also involves guiding individuals through both psychedelic and non-psychedelic experiences, utilizing his skills in integration coaching.
Today, Quest stands as a bridge between ancient shamanic practices and modern wellness tools, creating a unique fusion of creativity and healing. He is an active voice in the realm of psychedelic healing, having spoken at numerous conferences and organized various retreats and circles, specifically for men. His work emphasizes the power each individual holds in their own healing journey.
When Kirsten is not teaching yoga in her community with her company Kiss of Yoga LLC, you will find her connecting in nature on hikes with her family and yellow lab or gardening in her backyard. She also loves creating opportunities to empower women to support each other in authentic ways, offering space for healing and connection when it is needed most.
Wellness with Nature
Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.
Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.
History
Warrior Path
Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.
The Underground Railroad
Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
