The Mindful Family: Love Yoga Studio’s Family Yoga Retreat
Love Yoga Studio’s Family Yoga Retreat 2026 is a heart-centered weekend designed to help families slow down, reconnect, and practice mindfulness together in a playful and supportive way. Held November 13–15, 2026 at the peaceful River Mountain Retreat Center in Everett, PA, this retreat embraces the theme “The Mindful Family,” offering meaningful experiences for both children and adults. Each booking includes at least one child, making this a truly family-focused getaway rooted in connection, presence, and shared joy.
The retreat begins with a gentle arrival afternoon, followed by an opening circle, community dinner, and a cozy campfire with s’mores and intention setting. Families wind down together each night with calming mindfulness practices designed to support rest and togetherness. Mornings start with fresh-air family yoga, setting a positive tone for the day, while shared meals create space for conversation and community.
Throughout the weekend, families can enjoy a thoughtful blend of structured programming and relaxed leisure time. Adults and children participate in parallel creative sessions—including a Peaceful Parenting Workshop and Kids Love Yoga—while also coming together for family breathwork, meditation, yoga, and a guided historical hike. Optional sessions like adult Yin-to-Yang yoga or kids’ yoga games allow everyone to choose what feels most nourishing in the moment. Free time invites rest and play through hot soaking tubs, forest bathing, hammock hideaways, open fields, and quiet naps.
The retreat concludes with a family gratitude circle, sending everyone home feeling grounded, connected, and inspired. With cozy cabin pod accommodations, five meals, yoga classes, workshops, access to retreat amenities, a private retreat chat group, and Love Yoga Studio Lovewear swag included, this weekend offers a beautiful opportunity to strengthen family bonds and cultivate mindfulness that lasts well beyond the retreat.

About your Host
ASIA VIANNA LEAK is the Chief Visionary Officer and Yoga School Director of Love Yoga Studio, an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher, and Licensed Mental Health Professional. Her path into yoga and healing work is deeply rooted in a lifelong love of movement and a strong commitment to community care. After discovering yoga in 2014 and finding her home at Love Yoga Studio in 2015, Asia completed her 200-Hour and 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Perinatal Yoga Teacher Training certifications. In 2019, she became co-owner of the studio alongside her mother, Vicki Mack. With more than 2,000 hours of teaching experience, Asia is passionate about sharing yoga as a tool for connection, regulation, and resilience—especially within families. Through her leadership at Love Yoga Studio, she curates teacher training, continuing education, and specialty programs that center trauma-sensitivity, accessibility, relational learning, and whole-family wellness.
Alongside her yoga work, Asia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (MD) and Licensed Professional Counselor (DC & VA), a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Dance/Movement Therapist whose clinical career has consistently focused on supporting children, adolescents, parents, young adults and family systems. She has worked with youth and caregivers across community mental health settings and played a key role in building and leading the mental health program at Generation Hope, where she has supported student parents and their children while supervising emerging clinicians. Asia integrates trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, narrative therapy, and somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help families strengthen emotional awareness, communication, and regulation. Her passion for family-centered healing is also reflected in her creation of “The Waiting Game”, a therapeutic board game designed to support children navigating parental incarceration. Whether on the mat, in the therapy room, or in retreat space, Asia is devoted to helping families reconnect with their innate capacity for healing, presence, and growth—believing wholeheartedly that true restoration is possible, together.
Wellness with Nature
Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.
Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.
History
Warrior Path
Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.
The Underground Railroad
Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
