Wild + Renew:
A Spring Yoga + Wellness Retreat

Wild + Renew: A Spring Yoga + Wellness Retreat

Wild & Renew: A Spring Yoga + Wellness Retreat is a long-weekend immersion designed to reconnect you with nature, your body, and your inner rhythm. Held at the breathtaking River Mountain Retreat in Everett, PA, this experience invites you to step away from the noise of daily life and into a space of grounding, awakening, and renewal. Spring is nature’s season of rebirth - and this retreat honors that energy through intentional practices, community, and time in the mountains.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll explore daily yoga, meditation, and breathwork designed to support both energy and ease. Workshops rooted in Ayurvedic seasonal wellness, herbal crafting, and nature immersion will help you deepen your understanding of how to live in alignment with spring’s rhythm. Restorative practices, sound healing, free time to wander or rest, and moments of celebration weave together a balanced, nourishing retreat experience.

You’ll be held by the land as much as the programming - with cozy accommodations, sweeping views, fresh mountain air, and opportunities to unwind in hammocks, gather around campfires, or simply let yourself be still. Optional add-ons like massage therapy and Ayurvedic consultations allow you to personalize your experience even further.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, rest, inspiration, or reconnection, Wild & Renew offers a supportive and expansive container to return to yourself. Come as you are - leave grounded, refreshed, and rewilded.

Victoria Khersonsky

Victoria is a yoga teacher, herbalist, naturalist, and mom of three. She balances her tech career at Meta with a deep connection to nature and a grounded approach to wellness. She’s currently completing her training as a Holistic Ayurveda Counselor, learning how mind–body–spirit patterns shape daily life and how simple shifts—through food, habits, breath, and awareness—can make people feel more balanced and supported.

A member of the YogaSix community for years, Victoria is certified in teaching Vinyasa yoga and has additional training in teaching Beginners, Yin, and Prāṇāyāma. Her classes blend somatic awareness, nervous-system calming practices, and spacious, intentional movement. Her teaching helps people slow down, drop into presence, and reconnect with what’s real in their bodies.

Outside the studio, Victoria spends much of her time in the natural world — gardening, foraging, identifying plants and mushrooms, and crafting small-batch herbal medicines. She enjoys helping others notice and understand what’s around them and how these connections can support their overall wellbeing.

She’s excited to co-lead this retreat at River Mountain because it brings together the things she values most: nature, community, calm, and genuine reset. Her hope is that everyone leaves feeling clearer, steadier, and more at home in themselves.

Mary Ann Carney

Mary Ann is an uplifting and creative yoga instructor whose teaching is fueled by a deep passion for community, connection, and personal transformation. Inspired by the growth she witnesses in her students, she leads every practice with intention, authenticity, and an open heart.

A 500-hour RYT certified teacher through Yoga Alliance with advanced training from YogaSix South Hills, Mary Ann specializes in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Her classes emphasize chakra alignment and energetic balance, thoughtfully weaving together breathwork, asana, meditation, and intention-setting. Her student-centered approach empowers practitioners to cultivate strength, mobility, self-awareness, and a greater sense of ease — both on and off the mat.

Grounded in the benefits of mindfulness, meditation, and Yoga Nidra, Mary Ann has pursued additional training in these areas and integrates them seamlessly into her offerings. She is devoted to creating supportive yet challenging spaces where students feel safe to explore stillness, personal growth, and meaningful inner transformation.

Outside the studio, Mary Ann nurtures connection through time in nature, self-care practices, movement, and quality moments with friends and family — often accompanied by long walks with her beloved golden retriever.

Join Mary Ann for an energizing, empowering, and joy-filled experience. All levels welcome — she’s grateful you’re here.

Each day of Wild & Renew is thoughtfully curated to balance movement, rest, learning, and connection. You might begin your mornings with meditation, breathwork, or an energizing yoga flow, followed by nourishing meals and time to ground into the natural beauty of River Mountain. Workshops such as Intro to Ayurveda for Spring Balance, guided hikes, forest bathing, and herbal crafting sessions offer meaningful ways to reconnect with seasonal wellness and your inner rhythm.

Afternoons often include spacious free time - relax in hammocks, explore the trails, enjoy the tea bar, or choose optional self-care sessions like massage, acupuncture, or Ayurvedic consults. Evening practices such as Yin yoga, restorative sessions, and sound baths help you soften and integrate the day.

This retreat also includes community-centered moments like opening and closing circles, altar creation, shared meals, and campfire gatherings. On Saturday night, we celebrate joy and embodiment with a Wild + Renew Dance Party - an ecstatic movement experience in the barn beneath the glow of the mountains.

Optional add-ons such as massage therapy and acupuncture sessions are available throughout the weekend to deepen your renewal and support seasonal balance.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
