Be Here With YOU

Be Here With YOU: A Yoga Retreat by Happy Hour Yoga

Take a pause from the pace of everyday life and come home to yourself. Be Here With YOU is a five-day retreat designed to help you reconnect with your SELF! Have you felt drawn toward a new path? A nudge toward growth, healing and authentic expression? Do you feel a spark of intuition, leading you toward something bigger than yourself; toward nature and a sense of meaning or destiny? That may be your soul speaking. You don’t have to define it perfectly to feel it. Often, just being still, honest, and open lets you hear it more clearly. It's time to connect to that voice and YOUR SELF.

If you feel that spark, come join us at River Mountain in Everett, Pennsylvania on Columbus Day weekend 2026. We’ll spend the weekend in the heart of Pennsylvania’s breathtaking fall landscape. Nestled among 150 acres of vibrant autumn trees, our cozy cabins and yurts provide a peaceful and grounding space for rest, reflection, and self-discovery.

Each day offers a thoughtful balance of guided yoga practices, hiking through colorful wooded trails, insightful lectures, meditation, stargazing, honey tasting, cedar hot soaking tubs, bonfires, and creative crafts—all designed to support your journey inward. Our schedule invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and explore what it means to truly care for yourself. Nutritious meals are lovingly prepared to nourish your body and mind, and there’s plenty of space in the day for solitude, journaling, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty around you.

This retreat isn’t about doing more—it’s about being present. It’s an invitation to soften, release expectations, and gently come back to your center. Whether you’re sitting beside a fire, meditating under the changing leaves, or laughing with new friends, you’ll be surrounded by an environment that encourages authenticity and inner peace. Join a community of kind, like-minded individuals on a shared path of self-inquiry and renewal. Be Here With YOU is your time—to listen, to heal, and to remember the wisdom within you. This October, give yourself the gift of presence. You deserve it.

Nancy Meyers

Nancy Meyers is from Crystal Lake, IL, where she lives with her husband, her daughter Lyla, her son Will, and her stepson Bobby. She began practicing yoga in 2005, became a certified yoga teacher in 2013, and opened Happy Hour Yoga & Pilates in 2017. Nancy has completed approximately 1,000 hours of teaching certifications, but she believes the heart of yoga teaching lies not in training hours, but in the connection with each student.

Happy Hour Yoga & Pilates is a beautiful studio nestled in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Nancy runs the studio with a kind and genuine spirit, carefully selecting teachers who embody those same values. She strives to create a safe, peaceful, and sacred space with a warm, welcoming vibe. Leading with love, kindness, and compassion has made Happy Hour a truly successful and rewarding endeavor.

If you’ve taken a class with Nancy, you know she weaves humor and yoga philosophy into every session. You might find yourself laughing, crying—or both. It’s good for the soul. That emotional release is part of what makes her classes so special. While she enjoys leading Yoga Teacher Training, Nancy’s true passion lies in planning unique events, festivals, and retreats. If you’ve attended one, you already know: they’re thoughtful, well-organized, and often life-changing.

Nancy is a dedicated student of Vedanta, studying the philosophy daily and doing her best to live by its teachings. Throughout her yoga journey, she’s gained countless valuable insights—perhaps the most meaningful being:
“Everything that happens to you will benefit you.”
She believes that the pendulum always swings both ways, and reminds us to flow with life, embracing every part of the journey—even the rough patches. That’s where growth happens. Find it.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
