The Align Retreat: A Wellness Immersion for Women in Dentistry

Feeling overwhelmed and drained by the demands of your dental career? Are you longing for a deeper sense of alignment, purpose, and passion in both life and work? You’re not alone.

As women in dentistry, we dedicate ourselves to serving others—our patients, teams, families, and communities. Yet, we often overlook our own well-being in the process, leaving us burnt out and disconnected. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Welcome to the Align Retreat, a life-changing, 4-day experience for women in dentistry designed to help you reconnect with your body, mind, and energy. Located at River Mountain, this retreat offers the perfect blend of expert-guided yoga, mindfulness, ergonomic practices, and wellness tools to empower you to realign with your true self.

Whether you’re looking to reduce pain, improve posture, or manage stress, our immersive workshops will provide practical strategies to consistently return to—especially when life feels out of balance.

What you’ll experience:
 • Transformational yoga and mindfulness sessions designed to support better posture, reduce physical strain, and cultivate inner calm.
 • Wellness tools and practices to help you stay resilient when life gets overwhelming, allowing you to thrive both in and out of the dental office.
 • Expert-led workshops offering 3 CEs focused on stress management, posture, and ergonomics—all tailored specifically to the unique challenges of dental professionals.

Led by Shivani (dentist, yoga teacher, wellness coach) and Caitlin (RDH, yoga therapist, ergonomic consultant), this retreat is more than just a getaway—it’s a space to press pause, recalibrate, and leave feeling stronger, more confident, and fully aligned in all aspects of life. With over 10 retreats of combined experience, you will be in caring and knowledgeable hands throughout this transformational journey.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
