Joint Care & Conscious Rest
A Yin and Restorative Yoga Retreat
Join Machelle Lee and Tara Lemerise for this 4-day/3-night retreat dedicated to progressive and profound relaxation. Folks frequently think that Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga are the same thing because they both offer qualities of restoration for the body/psyche. In this immersive retreat, you will experience in your own body the differences and unique gifts that these two practices have to offer.
Machelle will guide you through Yin Yoga practices designed for the support of the joints, ligaments, and fascia of the low back, spine, shoulders, hips, sacrum and knees. She will explain the benefits of the practice, read meditative texts for your contemplation, and offer you myths and stories as you practice.
In Tara's Restorative Yoga sessions, you will be guided through the skillful arrangement of props in completely passive poses. Instead of asking your body and mind to do more, Tara's sessions of Restorative Yoga will quiet your nervous system and your mind, allowing you to release deeply held tension and positioning you to receive.
The combination Yin and Restorative Yoga led by these expert teachers on this retreat will leave you feeling supported, cared for, and deeply rested.
This retreat also includes optional rise and shine flow practices, hiking, campfires & s'mores, stargazing, and more!
All-inclusive 4-day, 3-night retreat

About Your Hosts
Tara Lemerise & Machelle Lee
Tara Lemerise has been teaching yoga philosophy, movement, and meditation since 2005. Students like Tara's teaching because it is dogma-free authenticity in harmony with honor for tradition and inspired by relatable stories rooted in yoga tradition that are relevant to everyday life. From vinyasa flow to Restorative Yoga, Tara offers yoga practices full of joy and compassion. She sees herself as a well-travelled guide, not an authoritarian who promises all of the right answers. Instead, Tara is all about helping you feel empowered and fortified, even when - or especially when! - you are lying around on a pile of props. Learn more at https://www.taralemeriseyoga.com/
