R&R: Rocket & Renew Retreat
Emerge from winter and embrace the season for growth and renewal. Create space to realize new intentions and prepare the ground for change. Spend the weekend reconnecting with yourself and find inspiration in nature, while building a community on the mat, over shared farm-to-table meals, hiking through the heart of the Allegheny Mountains, and ending the day around a cozy campfire. Jen and Michelle will guide you through yoga classes, workshops, group discussions, and outdoor adventures designed to encourage self-reflection and motivate personal growth. Explore your physical and mental limits through complementary Rocket Vinyasa and Yin Yoga sessions each day and take a deep dive into opening your heart and your hips in two special workshops.

About Your HostS
Jen Armistead
Jen is an open-minded yogi who teaches grounded yet dynamic vinyasa yoga drawn from multiple lineages. She values autonomy over authority and strives to empower yogis to develop their own intuitive, exploratory, and playful practice. Jen was initially drawn to yoga as part of her personal healing journey, but her practice suffered from several stops and starts until she discovered the transformative power of Rocket Yoga. Jen holds a 200-hour certification in Vinyasa Yoga, a 100-hour certification in Rocket Yoga, and will soon receive her 200-hour certification in Dharma Yoga. She is also trained in Yin Yoga and Service and Trauma-Informed Yoga and is registered through Yoga Alliance. Jen loves practicing with the local Rocket community, moving meditation in the Mysore room, and exploring new movement modalities. She’s always up for an adventure, loves to travel, and spend time with her son and their two kitties.
Michelle Nguyen
Michelle is simply a humble, lighthearted yogi. She’s all about creating a safe space, building a supportive community, while including all types of bodies in the yoga room. From new yogis to the experienced, there's always something new to learn & have fun with. Michelle came to yoga as a way to reintroduce exercise back into her life after suffering a head concussion in early 2013. While regaining her equilibrium and strength, what she didn’t expect to find was the mind body connection and how it even translates off the mat. Michelle received her 200 HR Power Flow training in early 2017 and is registered through Yoga Alliance. She also holds an additional 100-hour certification in Rocket and 50-hour in Yin. Initially drawn to the practice of power yoga, these days you may find her in the Mysore room and practicing with other local rocket teachers. Off mat, she enjoys traveling around the world with her husband, hiking with their adorable pups, and fishing at local ponds.
