This Mother’s Day, bring your son, daughter or whole family to River Mountain for a weekend of bonding through fun circles and thoughtful sharing. This retreat is appropriate for sons and daughters in the development age range of 11 to 15. Of course there is hiking, forest bathing, nature sights, and prepared meals to enjoy…..
But you can also expect a weekend full of serendipity and exploration:
- Learn 3 simple, beautiful songs themed around river and mama in song circles throughout the weekend.
- Play group mind games around the fire and lunch table to explore mindfulness tricks.
Friday Evening:
- Get re-acquainted with our starry skies by finding your bearings on the ground and mapping the skies above with crystals on a starboard (planetary mapping tool)
Saturday:
- Receive a private natural astrology and moon synastry session with your son or daughter.
- Discover beauty and honor your family’s mothers from times past as we build a community mandala to our ancestors.
Sunday:
- Get muddy from the creek and get muddy from clay mask body art
In short, you’ll leave the weekend with fresh skin, a fresh mind, fresh songs, and a fresh heart for the beauty and wonder of all things nurturing and whole….Mother!

Christiana
Since growing up a community organizer, Christi was born with a heart for connecting people deeper with themselves and wider with one another. With 15 years of social work practice, off-grid lifestyle experience, and eclectic-indigenous arts practice she is sure to bring an adventure into every group immersion. Her favorites are smelling like fire and walking in creeks!
Sarah
Amidst opening a second cafe, Sarah continues to provide holistic and intuitive food experiences. Her second passion combines a love of nourishment with outdoor sports and earth rituals in hosting mother-daughter retreats throughout PA. She believes in the goodness of humanity and passes on positive experiences with every touch!
Michael
For ten years, Michael has provided astrological readings with honor and ceremony. He uses his artistic creation, the StarBoard, as a teaching tool and means to ground cosmic energy. Experiences with Michael provide a poetic bearings to life’s ever-unfolding mystery.

Retreat Policies, Payments, Deposit, and Cancellations:
DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON RETREATS. This is for the safety and wellness of the dog and other guests joining the retreat.
25% non-refundable deposit to reserve. The remaining balance is automatically charged 30 days prior to the retreat start date using the initial card on file used to make the reservation and deposit. If reserving within less than 30 days of retreat start date, the remaining balance is automatically charged within 48 hours after reservation is made.
Please note that because River Mountain retreats are limited to a small number of attendees, to allow for a more personable, intimate experience, our cancellation policy is in place to help guests, hosts, and us alike work together sharing expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations.
• All deposits are non-refundable.
• Full balance is automatically charged 30 days prior to retreat start date, unless otherwise noted.
• Cancellation requests submitted more than 30 days from retreat arrival date, non-refundable deposit due.
• Cancellation requests submitted less than 30 days from retreat arrival date, full balance is due.
• Any refunds allowed will incur a 3% processing fee.
No one books a retreat with the intention of cancelling it, but unexpected events do occur. Please know that our cancellation policy is designed to mitigate damages and costs incurred to retreat hosts and River Mountain in order to maintain the retreat experience and affordability for other retreat guests. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early.
