Relaxing, Reflecting, and affirming retreat
As women, we oftentimes find it difficult to relax, reflect, and affirm ourselves. This retreat is designed for women who are overworked, energetically drained, and need to carve time for a weekend to relax and reflect. If you have a desire to affirm yourself with the accompaniment of a sacred sisterhood, engage in purposeful and positive conversation, participate in mini healing practices, and begin to take and make the necessary movement and action needed to make your affirmations a reality, this is the retreat for YOU. And what better place to do it than resting in 150 acres of nature! When we are closer to nature and retreat to the mountains, we can hear the assertions of truth that become our affirmations.
Join Patrice, owner of Spiritually Rooted located in Fort Washington, MD, for a weekend excursion to identify ways to relax amidst juggling family, career, and the list of responsibilities that never seems to fade and treat yourself to rest, and a renewed experience. This will allow you to unapologetically affirm who you are by embracing the beauties of your life and using the struggles as learning experiences. When the two are merged, we become, model, and live the affirmations we read, recite, and repost.
During this three day weekend retreat, you will partake in our signature sacred sister circles, tea and tincture tastings, restorative yoga, guided meditation with sound baths, journaling, nature walks, and whatever the Spirit moves you to do.

Patrice Harrell-Carter
After over 28 years in public, private, and charter education, Patrice decided to take the big leap from her most recent position as an elementary school principal to activate her entrepreneurial spirit. This, after enrolling in a yoga teacher training program and having a life changing experience at a yoga retreat in Costa Rica three years ago during a time where our entire world was turned upside down in the midst of a pandemic. While all were upside down, she turned inward to connect back to Source. Sixty pounds down and still working toward healthiness, she wants to help other women to do the same, not by recreating her story, but to support the direction of their chosen healing path. Today, she looks for the green pastures, still waters, and follows the paths of righteousness, placing fear aside to find purpose, serenity, abundance, love, and mercy. She wants the same for her sisters.
