Rooted In Flow:
Come Back Home to Yourself

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, move faster, and adapt to change, it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves. Rooted In Flow is a weekend wellness retreat designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and return to what matters most. Through intentional experiences, mindful movement, and meaningful connection, you'll create space to step away from the noise of everyday life and come back home to yourself.

Together, we'll explore the balance between grounding and flow - the ability to stay rooted in who you are while moving through life's seasons with greater ease and intention. Whether you're navigating personal growth, career transitions, relationship changes, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, this retreat offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign.

Throughout the weekend, you'll be invited into a variety of restorative and experiential practices, including yoga, meditation, sound healing, guided journaling, nature walks, creative workshops, group discussions, and optional one-on-one wellness sessions. Every element is thoughtfully designed to support rest, self-discovery, and nervous system restoration while fostering authentic community and connection.

You will leave feeling more grounded, refreshed, and connected - to yourself, your purpose, and the life you're creating. Because when we learn to return to ourselves, we can move through change with greater clarity, resilience, and trust.

Dana Gordon

Dana Gordon is the founder of Rooted In Flow, a wellness brand born from her own journey of learning how to stay grounded while navigating life's constant changes. As an entrepreneur, creative, and self-described lifelong "go with the flow" person, Dana spent years adapting to whatever life placed in front of her. While that adaptability became one of her greatest strengths, it often came at the expense of her own balance, boundaries, and connection to self.

Like many people, Dana found herself moving through life on autopilot - focused on the next goal, the next responsibility, and the next challenge - without always creating space to slow down and listen inward. A series of life transitions ultimately led her back to a path she had felt called toward for years: helping others reconnect with themselves through mindful movement, reflection, and intentional living.

Today, Dana is a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher, Meditation Teacher, Reiki II Practitioner, and Thai Massage Practitioner. Through Rooted In Flow, she combines these modalities with her experience as an entrepreneur and wellness advocate to create experiences that support both personal growth and nervous system restoration. Her approach is rooted in the belief that wellness isn't about perfection - it's about building a stronger relationship with yourself so you can move through life's seasons with greater clarity, resilience, and ease.

Dana doesn't believe she has all the answers. Instead, she sees herself as a fellow traveler and guide - someone who understands firsthand what it feels like to be stretched between ambition and rest, flow and grounding, growth and presence. Rooted In Flow is an invitation to explore that balance together and to remember that no matter how far we've wandered from ourselves, we can always find our way back home.

Wellness with Nature

Resting on 150 acres, River Mountain is bordered by Sweet Root Creek, Warrior Ridge and Tussey Mountain. River Mountain's stunning spaces are designed for reflection, mindfulness, and good vibrations on your self-care journey. Creekside yoga platforms, a restored barn turned wellness space, and the calm of nature make this the ideal destination for peace and wellness.

Located just a few hours from D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, River Mountain is remote yet easy to access.

History

Warrior Path

Running parallel to River Mountain's eastern ridge is Warriors Path, the great Iroquois Indian highway from Six Nations country, New York, to the Catawba country in the Carolinas. The historic path along Sweet Root Creek was one of the longest and most heavily traveled land routes in eastern North America, connecting Indigenous peoples over hundreds of miles.

The Underground Railroad

Black Valley was an active route along the Underground Railroad. Local histories principally credit four, free black residents with leading the aid network in this area: Rev. John Fidler, Elias Rouse, Joseph Crawley, and James Graham. Just to the south of the River Mountain property are 13 unmarked graves of enslaved people who died traveling the route to freedom.
