RIDING ON DAY OF CHECK-IN OR CHECK-OUT OF RIVER MOUNTAIN
If you would like to go horseback riding on the day you arrive or depart River Mountain, great!
Day of Check-In, Arrival at River Mountain – Please plan on horseback riding prior to checking in at River Mountain. There is not enough time to check in at River Mountain first and then go horseback riding. We will coordinate everything with the stables prior to your arrival and look forward to hearing about your ride when you arrive at River Mountain!
Day of Check-Out, Departure at River Mountain – Please plan on checking out of your accommodations at River Mountain first and then going horseback riding. There is not enough time to go horseback riding and then check-out of your accommodations.
GETTING TO THE STABLES
The stables are about 30 minutes from River Mountain along scenic, country roads. It is a gorgeous drive (with no gas stations or services along the route). If leaving from River Mountain, please leave 45 minutes before the trail ride to have enough time to settle in.
Each ride can accommodate a max of 8 guests. For larger groups, we can split into two groups during the offered trail ride times — one group would relax at the stables while the other group rides.
Upon registering, please provide us with guest age, height, and weight so Horseplay may prep the horses. We will confirm the final trail ride time upon booking, based on availability and the number of guests in your group. Please send this information to us via firstname.lastname@example.org or via text at (814) 259-6580.
Riders must be 8 years old or older. Riders under 13 must have a participating adult with them. Parents please supervise children closely. If a child starts crying or is uncomfortable once in the saddle, we will not proceed to the trail and may have to end the ride early for safety. If your child is uncomfortable, then the horses and other guests will be uncomfortable as well.
