“Nearby” Restaurants

Check out our favorite restaurants in Bedford, PA (about 22 miles away) and Cumberland, MD (about 20 miles away). Quick heads up, currently none offer delivery to River Mountain since we are a remote getaway.

10/09 Kitchen

10/9 is an Italian/Mediterranean inspired, upscale spot. It’s a great location for a romantic dinner for 2 or a fun night with a small group. It’s run by a NY couple, Nick and Sara Letzo, who decided to slow down and relocate to a smaller town. Very good food, excellent service. Bedford, PA

Lifestyle Next Door

For lunch, Next Door has an eclectic menu with all kinds of yummy options. The restaurant is run by 2 girls - Hailey and Mallory - that we’ve become good friends with. They have a number of good vegetarian options, and they do a really nice job overall. Bedford, PA

Jean Bonnet Tavern

The Jean Bonnet Tavern has lots of history and excellent pub-style food. The cozy restaurant is located downstairs and includes a large hearth built in the mid 18th century. The tavern upstairs, which dates to sometime around 1762, was placed on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places in 1979. George Washington and his troops stopped at the Jean Bonnet, along with countless settlers in wooden wagons heading to our nation’s great western territories. The Jean Bonnet consistently puts out great food in a warm, lively environment. Bedford, PA

Golden Eagle Inn

The Golden Eagle Inn is a great option right in the heart of Bedford. On warm nights, it has an outdoor patio in the back which is a great spot to dine. Nice people, good food. There’s a little pub on the front side of the building (facing the street) that’s worth visiting before or after your meal. Bedford, PA

Horn O Plenty

Farm-to-table restaurant using locally sourced meat, dairy and produce. The menu reflects the seasons and creations made in a wood-fired oven. Bedford, PA

Original Italian Pizza

Your classic take-out pizza joint. Bedford, PA

Puccini Italian Restaurant

Puccini Restaurant is located in the historic 1818 Hinkle House which served as a Civil War hospital during the Battle at Folck’s Mill. Wood fired pizza and its hometown friendliness, with full lunch and dinner menu. Cumberland, MD
